Registration:

Basketball Hutt Valley offers year-round open entry competitions for Men in the Hutt Valley.

We offer 2 grades, A and B, the B grade is suitable for those who want to play socially.

The registrations for the Men's Term 2 Basketball league are now open: Register for Term 2 Men's League here

Fees:

Fees for the Term 2 league will be $810/ team + a $20 GameDay admin fee. This is due to a reduced number of games in Term 2 (8 weeks). Fees going forward will reflect the length of the competition (based on the number of weeks/ games per term).

BBNZ Development Levy:

This year there is a new Basketball Development Levy which has been introduced by Basketball NZ (BBNZ). This requires every player to be registered with BBNZ/ BBHV and there will be a one-off levy fee per player per year. 

  How the levy is structured:

·         BBNZ: $10 (for 15 - 19 yr olds) or $15 (for 20+ yr old)

• This contributes to the ongoing development of basketball at a national level, which includes digital platforms to support participation and administration.

·         BBHV: $10

• This directly supports our ability to grow and sustain basketball in our region. This fee helps us provide resources, access to competitions, and the infrastructure needed to continue developing the sport locally.

The levy is separate to the team fees. The levy fees go towards the development of the game at a local, regional and national level. If you want to learn more about the Basketball Development Levy (BDL), check out the BBNZ website here and the BBHV website here.

It is vital that all of your players are registered individually and their BBNZ/ BBHV membership levy is paid. If a player is not registered they will be unable to play in Term 2. If players have already paid the BBNZ levy fee this year, they will not be required to pay this again for Term 2.

The levy is only required to be paid once per player per year.  (NB: if your team has outstanding leagues payments from prior leagues, you may not be entitled to register until outstanding payments have been made)

Upon completing your team registration, you will be able to send a player registration email to each of your players using the link in your team confirmation email. Please make sure to do so or they will not be able to take the court in Term 2.

Draws for Term 2 will be sent out by Sunday 27th April.
